Experienced hikers: you’ll drool over some of the trails! On 11 of the 15 peaks you’ll explore, you can immortalize your achievement by taking a photo in front of the “Rencontre au Sommet” sign. You’ll be the hero of these hikes!
Montagne de la croix
Its name is fitting: a cross illuminates the summit of Montagne de la Croix, and it’s accessible by car. On this mountain, you’ll see the town of Lac-Mégantic from a new perspective.
Montagne de Franceville
Made of igneous rock, the Cimes trail will reveal the ridges of the Mont Mégantic massif.
Mont Victoria
Mont Victoria, along with Mont Mégantic and Mont Saint-Joseph, is part of the Mont Mégantic massif. It’s covered with abundant vegetation: deciduous, mixed and coniferous forests will give you your fill of chlorophyll and the fresh smell of pine!
Mont Saint-Joseph
Rated among the top three most beautiful panoramas in Quebec. A century-old chapel, visited by many hikers, awaits you at the summit and invites you for some contemplation.
Pain de sucre
With a bird’s eye view of the interior of the massif, the Escarpements trail will please adventurers young and old, whatever the season.
Mont Saddle
A well-kept secret! Crossed by the Canadian-American border, this mountain can only be accessed from Montagne de Marbre. This hike is perfect for a full escape. Rookies, stay away!
Mont Gosford
At 1,193 metres high, it dominates southern Quebec with its subarctic climate. Sitting on the edge of the Canadian-American border, the Mont Gosford area covers 6,111 km2 and offers an exceptional natural experience.
Scotch Cap
A witness to the passages of Paleo-Indians and the expedition of American army general Benedict Arnold, Scotch Cap watches over the Vallée des Trois Lacs.
Le Morne de Saint-Sébastien
Le Morne de Saint-Sébastien, over 350 million years old, is a granite giant that’s marked by the region’s history of granite quarrying.
Massif de Winslow
This trail for experienced hikers crisscrosses the undergrowth of the mossy fir trees and deciduous forest. Don’t forget your bathing suit! You might want to jump in Lac Thor or do some sunbathing!
