At a dizzying 400 metres high, this rocky wall is, quite simply, impressive and spectacular. Come and discover it!

Montagne de Marbre is located just a few metres from the Canadian-American border. Part of the SF1 trail you’ll be taking is in the “boundary,” and we suggest you walk on the Canadian side of the border. Don’t forget to bring your passport!

At the summit, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking view revealing Mont Gosford and dozens (if not hundreds) of mountains in Maine. You can even hike with your four-legged friend, as long as they’re on a leash.

Still relatively unknown, this mountain is probably the most beautiful hiking spot in the region and is definitely worth the detour! You can camp at the base of the mountain on two wooden platforms set up on the shores of Lac Danger. In the evening, relax as you listen to the calls of the bullfrogs! Enjoy the view of the 400-m cliff and walk on the steep border (CAN-USA) for 1.6 km. For the less intrepid, it’s possible to take only this part of the trail to admire the cliff without having to climb up to the summit.

The “Rencontre au Sommet” sign is there too. Take a selfie with it and rise to the challenge to reach them all!
